Fit and Confident!

I know you’ve been through a lot with your health over the years, can you summarize as best possible?

I am a 9-year cancer survivor. The post treatment medication causes bone pain and contributes to osteoporosis. Weight bearing exercise is critical to combating those side effects.

How did you find Endurance Train and Boot Camp?

I saw an advertisement for the program offered through Boonton Recreation and talked my friend into trying it with me.

What pushed you to start working out with Endurance Train and what keeps you with us?

I needed to stay healthy and find something I could stick with. I love the variety of classes Jeff offers. I have been going for over 5 years and don't think we have ever repeated a class. It is nice to see familiar faces again now that we are back in person, but we never missed a beat during Covid lock down. Jeff pivoted quickly and delivered class virtually so we could all continue to stay on track! There was never an excuse not to work out.

What has working out done for you and what other changes have you made outside of working out?

I feel fit and confident I am doing everything I can to stay healthy. In addition to working out, I maintain a healthy diet and am a lifetime WW member. Diet and exercise go hand in hand.

What would you list for short-term goals (next few months) and then long term?

Short term goal is to lose a few pounds since i have 2 sons getting married this year! Long term goal is to stay healthy and be here to enjoy my growing family!

Any thoughts for people who can’t seem to motivate themselves to take action and get moving with a program like Boot Camp?

Just show up! Sometimes getting there is half the battle. Commit yourself and modify, modify, modify if you have to. Just show up, you will not regret it.
